As we commented in the Europe report, Virgin Atlantic will expand its international operations with the start of Accra and Riyadh, in both cases from London Heathrow. The services will begin in 2025 and will be provided with Airbus A330-900neo and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft configured for 262 and 264 passengers, respectively.
Riyadh will become Virgin’s first destination in Saudi Arabia, while Accra will be its second route to the African continent. Currently, the carrier operates to Tel Aviv in the Middle East, and Lagos in Africa.
