A man who says he spent over 25 years in the military recently described his terrifying encounter with a bright UFO he saw while camping in California. During the course of describing the harrowing event, he said it was like nothing he had ever experienced before.
He described the UFO as being 20 to 30 feet in length and 8 to 10 feet in height. He also stated that the mysterious craft was oval-shaped, emitted a white light, and got to within 100 yards of his campsite in Mountain Center, Calif.
“At approximately 11:00 p.m. I was laying in the tarped bed of my truck in the Santa Rosa Mountain Yellow Post campsites at about 7,800 foot elevation,” the military veteran wrote in his report that was submitted to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC). “I was the only camper/hunter in the area that night and it was pitch black out.
“Instantly, everything (all natural animal/insect noises) went completely silent and the entire area lit up brighter than the brightest full moon I’ve ever seen. But I knew it wasn’t the moon because I had already located the moon prior to that and it was a dimly lit waning gibbous.
