Etihad starts flights to Osaka, Copenhagen and Dusseldorf | Airlines

Etihad Airways has announced that it will be adding three new cities to its destinations: Copenhagen Airport (CPH), Düsseldorf International Airport (DUS) and Kansai International Airport (KIX) in Osaka, Japan.

Inaugural flights to Dusseldorf began on September 28, 2023, followed by Copenhagen on September 29, 2023, and then Osaka on October 1, 2023.

The airline will fly to Dusseldorf thrice weekly, to Copenhagen four times weekly, and to Osaka five times per week.

According to Etihad, the flights are part of a package of new routes and increased frequencies designed to meet customer demand for more opportunities to visit Abu Dhabi, providing even more connectivity to its network.

“The new flights are the next important steps as we enhance our network, delivering greater connectivity for our guests, and serving their demand for more opportunities to visit Abu Dhabi,” Antonoaldo Neves, chief executive officer of Etihad Airways said in a statement.

“We are helping accelerate economic growth for the city by providing more travel options and seamless connections, ensuring it’s easier for guests to visit Abu Dhabi either as a destination, or as part of a stopover as they explore our growing global network,” Neves added.

In addition to the new destinations, the airline has also announced increased frequencies to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) and Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) in Colombo, Sri Lanka (CMB).

Etihad previously announced the following new destinations for 2023:
