Edelweiss announced the expansion of its international schedule from/to Zurich, with the inauguration of two new regular routes starting mid-2025. In both cases, the airline will be the only operator, being ZRH – Halifax the shortest service to Canada from Switzerland.
As of June 2nd, 2025, Edelweiss Air will launch flights between Zurich and Seattle, which will be operated with Airbus A340-300 aircraft seating 314 passengers. At the time of publication, these services will be available during summer, with the last flight scheduled on September 20th.
During the nearly three months of operations, the company will offer 32 services on this route, for a total of 10,048 seats per leg. Edelweiss will be the only airline with operations between Switzerland and Seattle.
The US city currently has 9 non-stop connections to Europe, including Amsterdam, Dublin, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Istanbul IST, London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Reykjavik. With respect to airlines, Air France, Air Tahiti Nui, British Airways, Condor, Delta Air Lines, Finnair, Icelandair, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and Virgin Atlantic operate in this market.
